Just A Little Lovin'
As I woke up at seven this morning for my first class, I climbed into my car, turned on the engine and was greeted by the voice of Shelby Lynne softly uttering the words (well, not her lyrics, but you get the gist) of the late great Dusty Springfield.
While my morning drives are normally reserved for lively and loud music to get my pumped for the monotony that is my average Wednesday, it was a pleasant change to sit back in the traffic, drink my coffee and take in a soft interpretation of such classics as How Can I Be Sure and The Look Of Love.
"Just A Little Lovin'" stands as one of my favorite arrivals of 2008 and while I will return to my morning ritual of Lady Antebellum and Corb Lund tomorrow, it was a pleasant alteration in my daily movements.
