Country radio needs to die a slow death...at least for tonight.

I listened to country radio for the first time in about three months last night. Within a span of roughly four hours, I heard Kenny Chesney, George Strait and Carrie Underwood so many times in such a short period that I nearly cried.
So, yes, 98 WSIX - The Biggest Hits The Biggest Stars...I guess they meant that literally and figuratively. Currently receiving spins as I type: Alan Jackson's "Small Town Southern Man", Taylor Swift's "Picture To Burn" and Gary Allan's "Watching Airplanes". Yes, that was the same playlist that I encountered twelve hours ago.
I used to listen to country radio to be schooled on new music and new artists - instead, I now avoid it in fear of eventually shunning those that are scarily pushed on mainstream country radio in a subconscious protest - despite my actual love for their music.
In a world where Miranda Lambert struggles to maintain an admirable number of spins and where Trace Adkins can land a number two single with "Honky Tonk Bodonkadonk"...I am fearful for the future.
Sure, I am singing an old and constantly overplayed tune...but hey, this is my rant space.
Yes, I will be less bitter about this tomorrow, but hey, I'll run with my current spur of idiocy.
