Josh Gracin ain't crazy....he's pretty damn impresive.

This is just a quickie pseudo-review that makes no sense as I am slightly incoherent due to the mass amount of vodka currently in my system, so please, bare with me.
Okay then. I picked up Josh Gracin's new record, We Weren't Crazy, last week. Well, I legally bought it on iTunes at least. Essentially, it's definitely a solid follow up to his debut album, the self-titled and gold certified "Josh Gracin" (2002).
Gracin, an Idol alumni and one of Nashville's most underrated artists is back with an album of consistent pop/country offerings that should please his fans and piss off conservative traditionalists. It should also be noted that this album is also four years in the making, with his label, Lyric Street Records, seemingly shelving it at every opportunity. Yes, there were many reasons for doing so, but hey, I am content to be an ignorant angry country fan who is naive in regard to the politics of Music Row.
We Weren't Crazy features a cover of Tim McGraw's "Telluride", a self-penned tribute to his wife ("Unbelievable (Ann Marie"), some upbeat ditties such as "Favorite State Of Mind" (a track that hit #19 back in 2006) and the opening track "Found", as well as every country album's token love and lost balladeer "Let Me Fall".
It's very much a feel good album that toes the line between pop and country, while displaying a much more confident and personal side of Gracin.
Conclusion: It's a record of catchy melodies, strong vocals and some clichéd lyrics that all together round off a welcomed, yet slightly delayed, sophomore album.
P.S I will look at this little commentary in the morning and shun, I do realize that.
