Ramblings On: The Simpsons, Dixie Chicks, Miranda Lambert and CMT Awards.

I finally picked up the new James Otto record, "Sunset Man" and I was thoroughly impressed upon the first listen. With the phrase "MuzikMafia" being attached to this album, I was admittedly a little worried (sorry John Rich and Gretchen Wilson who I admire so). However, that is an album that I can only speak positively about. Go and check it out.
At the moment, my ring tone is "Kerosene" by Miranda Lambert. Lesson of the day: when you put your phone on vibrate to avoid your ring tone being heard in public...change it. I still adore Miranda though [/cough: check out More Like Her cough:]. Speaking of...
Lambert Accuser Put In Jail For Filing False Report
Aisha Esbay is in the Smith County Jail this afternoon on charges of filing a false report, said Lt. Larry Wiginton of the Smith County Sheriff's Office.
Esbay is the girl who accused Miranda Lambert of physically assaulting her at the Bootlegger's Club in Tyler on Saturday night.
KLTV 7 News will have more on this story tonight at 5:00 pm, 6:00 pm, and 10:00 pm.

Um...what else? Oh yes, I finally watched the CMT Awards. I enjoyed the show and I definitely recommend checking out the Sugarland performance of "Life In A Northern Town" with tour mates, Little Big Town and Jake Owen. Otherwise, I recommend fast forwarding through the Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray segments...sorry Cyrus'.
Also, the Dixie Chicks did a spot on the Simpsons a few weeks ago...two words - bloody classic. It is a must see, if only for the picture of White Trash Records. Essentially, we witness the welcome return of fallen country star, Lurleen Lumpkin as well as DXC delivering a new classic country line: "We said some things that came out wrong/But now we've got a brand new song/'Cause free speech needs curtailing now and then".
With that, I am off to bed. Yay for ramblings!

I love it as well...throwing in Jake Owen and LBT, well, they're definitely doing something right.
