Some headlines that I though might spark your interest...
The charts are in, and once again, Taylor Swift is topping both albums and singles charts. Other albums rounding out the top five are Garth Brooks’ “The Ultimate Hits”, Carrie Underwood’s “Carnival Ride”, The Eagles’ “Long Road Out Of Eden” and Rascal Flatts’ “Still Feels Good”.
Shania Twain’s “Come On Over” from 1997 still remains the best selling album in America since Nielsen’s Soundscan began tracking sales in 1991.
The Johnny Cash/Folsom Prison Anniversary concert has been cancelled due to “problems over filming rights, media access and security concerns”
And finally. Dolly Parton has delayed the release of her new album, “Backwoods Barbie” back to February/March. This is the first mainstream country album that Parton has recorded in seventeen years.
