Video Of The Day: Reba Mcentire's "For My Broken Heart" (Live)
July 27th 2008 04:50
In this video, Reba McEntire sings the track "For My Broken Heart", a cut from her 1991 album, For My Broken Heart at the 1991 CMA's.
This performance followed the tragic accident that saw eight members of her band perish in a plane crash earlier that same year. The song, as well as this performance in particular, continue to effect me to this day.
The album, For My Broken Heart, also stands as my favorite Reba album ever released. It, along with the above track, features "If I Had Only Known", "Is There Life Out There", "The Greatest Man I Ever Knew" and "The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia".
For me, that is country music at it's best.
